Athletic Apparel Trackers, GM Deals, Pricing Updates and More!
It's been a very busy month at the Extra Points Library
Good morning, friends, and welcome to the Library Card.
We’ve been hard at work behind the scenes at Extra Points Library, and I’d like to take a minute to tell you about what we’ve been adding, and where we’re going next.
Introducing: The Athletic Apparel Tracker
For months, EPL users have been able to search for the athletic apparel contract of any institution, and then download that PDF. That’s a useful tool, but sometimes, you want to compare basic information across lots of different athletic apparel contracts.
Who is hitting free agency in the near future? Who has a deal direct with a manufacturer, vs working with a middleman? Which schools are working with which brand?
We’ve tried to address that issue with the Athletic Apparel Tracker:
Paid EPL users can now click on the VENDORS tab at the top of the screen, to pull up a vendor list. Here’s an example of what that looks like, sorted by contract expiration year:

This table also links directly to the document in question, so it’s even easier to find the exact contract you’re looking for.
We’re working on building similar tables for MMR partners, and potentially other vendors as well, depending on what our users are interested in. But we hope this update makes it easier and faster to find exactly what you’re looking for.
2026 Library Pricing Changes Are Coming
We’ve made a lot of updates to EPL in 2025. We’ve built tools to track MFRS data by line item and sport, making benchmarking and nationwide line item comparisons easier than ever. We’ve begun to roll out searchable salary databases for every single athletic department job, from athletic trainers to academic support specialists. We’ve also added thousands of new documents across D-I and D-II, including conference bylaws, GM contracts, international travel support contracts, and more. We’ll talk about some of those in a second.
Because of those updates, and because of others we have built into our 2026 product road map, we’re looking to make some pricing adjustments, starting in 2026.
An annual EPL license will cost $2,999/year
Monthly EPL licenses will cost $299/mo.
We will continue to offer discount pricing if EPL is purchased through the conference level, or when it is bundled with Extra Points Classroom across a university. There’s no reason why this data can’t be used to support athletics, journalism, law, business and sports management departments throughout campus.
I also understand that even at our current pricing, EPL is probably too expensive for non industry professionals…and sometimes, you really just need one or two documents, not an entire month. We are working on the specifics for rolling out a consumer-focused subscription to EPL that will be priced much cheaper, which we plan to have ready in very early 2026. For our cost-conscious newsrooms who really just need access to like, four documents, or for our non-industry readers who want to be the smartest guy in their group chat, we’re working on a way to best support you, very soon.
If you’re a newsroom, athletic department, conference office, or any other entity interested in EPL, my best advice to you would be to purchase a license in the next six weeks, to lock in your 2025 pricing for the next 12 months (or more). To discuss specific pricing or licensing needs, drop me a line at matt @extrapointsmb dot com.
What else have we been adding, documents wise?
Bylaws! We’ve added conference bylaws for the Southland, Big West and Big 12 to the Library, and we’ve sent out requests for others. These can be useful for comparison studies, for leagues looking to write their own bylaws, and for understanding conference governance when it comes to large potential changes (like, I dunno, maybe selling a chunk of future assets to institutional investors. Hypothetically.)
We’re continuing to flesh out our GM contract directory. We’ve recently added new PDFs for Ole Miss, South Florida, Northern Illinois, Washington State, Cincinnati and Washington, and we have outstanding requests out for several more.

Other recent document additions include coaching contracts for multiple sports at Utah Tech, Louisiana Tech and Tennessee Tech, athletic vendor contracts at Washington, Minnesota and Stony Brook, the AD contract for Southeastern Louisiana, Neutral Site game contracts in MBB and FB, and much more.
If we don’t have what you’re looking for, drop me a line! I’d love to go find it.
Thanks for reading, and have a wonderful November. I’ll be sure to check back in again before the end of the year,
-Matt
